Originally meant to be a £100 per unit USB only project, filled with 30+ brand new daseplate tracks (dubstep, grime, house, etc) is now a free 12 track digital album. I guess this is my debut gospel album, a complete non-profit project, I’m not too sure how to genre it. It's more like art than music in my head. But yeah, this is my first ever project for Jesus anyway. Hope you enjoy it, this project is the first music I made after making nothing for over 4 years, thank you for having me.
I was so scared that people would take this the wrong way and be like ‘Oh thats it, he’s gone all God on us now, he’s finally gone mad its over’. But instead its seemed people have been more like ‘Ah thats the most pond life thing ever, to do the opposite of whats happening in the world right now, drop a free gospel album whilst dubstep and grime is on mcdonalds adverts’
This personally has been such a wild 40 days for me, finally stepping out in faith like this publicly, and I’d just like to genuinely say thank you for letting me be myself. After being a bit of a 'secret follower' of Jesus for 5 years now, I’d like to say thank you so much for being so accepting of this album and just of me in general.
I was terrified to do this, but have received nothing but kind words and support of just being unapologetically myself as usual. So yeah, thank you so much - for me, Jesus was the first ever punk, the first ever socialist, and the greatest living artist. If you are a fan of Pond Life, you are subliminally a fan of Jesus.
He taught me everything I know, and he is the main inspiration for how this whole thing is ran. Jesus is the opposite of the illuminati, and is probably the most 'rebellious' thing you could do in current times.
And yeah tonight it finally comes out, how mad is that. I also deleted my entire discography from the internet forever on Friday in rememberance of the Crucifixion of Jesus. To ‘kill’ my old body of work, and then let this new album be the ‘risen’ a few days after - in true Easter style.
